Moments of Summer
Here’s a little more randomness that makes up my life. Went to Wendy’s for lunch with the kids last week. Matt wanted to eat outside. It was a sweltering 95˚. Kinda like being at the beach except there was no beach.
Mackenzie enjoys a Frosty float and Asian chicken. She said it was awesome.
Matt got a haircut after this lunch. It had been a few months.
I don’t even notice the camera. Autographs, anyone?
Matt had yet another orthodontist appointment this week. Don’t you know the kids totally hate that I have a teeny tiny camera in my purse at all times?
I am so proud that Matt is such an avid reader.
It rained here yesterday. First real rain in several weeks. It stormed this morning. Yeehaw!!! The grass was almost getting crunchy. That is not a good look in a grass.
My view out the front window.

Looks like somebody left a towel out by the pool after swimming. Um, I think that was me.
I think I will finally spread this pinestraw…after the monsoon is over, of course.
We really gotta get this gutter fixed.
Well, I’m off to work on my ½ BA. A little more joint compound, some sanding, then it’s time to paint. I got a great color for the walls…Mountain Sage. Doesn’t that sound so earthy? I am like that.
You gettin’ rain these days? Have you tried the Wendy’s Frosty float? How long do you go in between haircuts?

It is storming here right now. But it's more noise than rain. The girls were supposed to have swimming lessons. Oh well. I have not had a Frosty float. I am not big on soda mixed with my ice cream.
And haircuts...maybe once or twice a year. I cut my bangs a lot more often than that...
I generally get 4 haircuts a year, but of course I do a bit of trimming myself in between.

Mountain sage sounds nice. We seem to be getting one downpour after another here in NY the past month or so. You definitely like using your camera. It's fun to see your photo montage about all that's going on in your life. I'm bringing my son to his first orthodontist evaluation. I'm scared to see how much it will cost:) My boys go about 4 weeks between haircuts. I can go 6 months. Then I become pony tail hippy girl and need to get all that hair off my back.
I like your rain pix. We are in our dry season right now. Won't get any rain until at least October (if we are lucky). Things are very dry and crispy around here.
As for haircuts, I get mine about every 5 to 6 months. I like letting it grow out in between. I do my own bangs, though. Haircuts are expensive, I have to pay $55 when I get one. But she does a good job.
Never tried the frosty float. I would go to Wendy's if they had a veggie burger : )
We need some of that rain! Talk about crunchy!!! Am glad your summer is progressing with some fun on top of your DIY projects!
I love Summer storms. We don't get many here in Northern CA but I'm headed off to Idaho this weekend. I hear there's lots of Summer rain there.
I love the sound of Mountain Sage. Please post photos of your finished project!
I saw the Asian chicken at Wendy's the other day, but didn't try it. I'll have to do that now. It sure looks good!
I am, lately, addicted to many cool summer drinks. Every one of the consists of an entire week's calories. And me in a cast and unable to work any of it off. Oi!
