Shameless Plug, Indeed
I am not immune to the lure of free stuff. My friend Kat over at Sunshine and Lemonade (go HERE) is giving away a boatload of goodies on Friday afternoon. Get this, I was lucky enough to get into the elite group of only 16 bloggers who signed up in time for this excellent giveaway.
And here’s where YOU come in. (This is where it is all about me). Hehe
I need votes to win this boatload of goodies. “What’s in it for me?” you ask. Well, Kat has an excellent blog full of really random stuff - stuff you can all relate to and get a kick out of. In fact, this giveaway is for other bloggers who have submitted their best posts of random stuff. I gotta win this stuff. Let me tell you why.
When I was (WAY) younger, I entered a couple of beauty contests. Yeah, I’m gagging now thinking of it, but I was a struggling college student working full-time trying to catch a little scholarship cash. Long story short, I didn’t win a thing. I have been longing for a crown ever since. If I get enough votes on Kat’s blog, I will not only get a boatload of goodies – I will get a button for my blog that proclaims me a Queen!!!!! Yeah, with a crown!!!!!
To show you just how much I really want to win, I am about to humiliate myself by sharing a photo of me from one of those long-ago beauty pageants.
Be kind (yeah, I know you can't help from laughing, though)…and tell all your friends to VOTE FOR ME on Kat’s blog.

Ahhh...but you should have mentioned that it was only supposed to be 15 blogs. But that you whined your way into me changing the rules to have 16 :-)
Oh...and you should see the badge for the grand prize winner. But that other badge - that lady in waiting one - that you can have now - just for participating!

Great photo - one of my cousins was in a pageant of that era, and you look a lot like she did (tall, thin, pretty) - you shouldn't feel embarassed to share!. Oh, and I voted.

I went and voted for you. Good luck with your crown, but if you don't win, you know you can buy those on ebay. Ask your other sister! She didn't earn hers like I did (Mrs. Bellevue 1996 - hehe).

Okay, not to be rude or anything, but I think the reason you didn't win was because you were wearing a 'highwater' dress. I know you were tall, but PLEASE!
Just kidding. Cool dress. I especially like the stretchy sequins on top.
